LG today unveiled what it calls “the world’s thinnest bezel,” in the Xnote P210 notebook. Sadly I was unware of this claim when I did my hands on video which you’ll find below. The unit is very slim and though it doesn’t have sleek rounded edges it still feels very cutting edge thanks to its thinness. What makes this unit something to keep an eye on it that it is an 11.6″ notebook with a larger 12.5″ screen, thanks to its Ultra-slim bezel. Appologies here, in the video I saw the 12.5 display size and assumed it was a 12.5 inch unit, LG tricked me with “the world’s thinnest bezel”.

Under the hood its more then a netbook that’s for sure, you’ll find the dual-core Intel Core i5-470UM processor clocked between 1.33GHz and 1.86GHz, backed by 4GB of memory, Intel HD graphics and a modest 5400RPM 320GB HDD. The unit also comes in a Core i3 version if you don’t want all the power. Other features will include 802.11n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 1.3MP webcam. The resolution of the LED-backlit screen hasn’t been mentioned but I’d expect it to be at least 720p. Measuring 299x192x20.9mm and weighing in at 1.3kg, the P210 will run on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The Xnote P210 will be available in February for approximately US$1,130.
