Word of new tablets are still leaking out from CES that took place a couple of weeks ago – here’s a new 7-inch HPad A116 tablet from Hanvon, who impressed many early last year with a solid Windows 7 tablet offering.
The specs – a 7″ 1024 x 600 capacitive touch screen, Android 2.2 / 2.3, ARM Cortex A8 processor (1.0 GHz), 512MB RAM, 2GB internal storage, front 1.3MP and rear 5.0MP webcams, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 3G (W-CDMA / EVDO), optional GPS, a 6 hour battery with the following ports – micro USB, mini HDMI, headphone jack, SIM card slot. Comes in slightly thinner than the Galaxy Tab at 10.8mm and apparently feels much lighter as well.
With a price tag of $350 in combination with those specs, this is definitely budget tablet territory and seems like it would be right at home somewhere in 2010. It should be arriving in Europe soon.
