Earlier this year, the 11.1” Sony Vaio T dropped almost like it didn’t want to take on the heavy competition from the upcoming cheap CULV thin and light notebooks. Peter from Netbooked noticed on Sony Japan’s website that the Sony Vaio T is back with CULV processors!!
The new Sony Vaio T is configurable with a Celeron SU2300 (1.2GHz, dual-core), Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.4GHz, dual-core) or Core 2 Duo SU9600 (1.6GHz) processors. For graphics, it has the Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset. 4GB or 8GB RAM. Any choice of Windows 7 editions and to give you a feel the TT series which still has the same exterior.
We like to see devices that are as configurable as a Mr. Potato head, storage options are up to 512GB SSD or 500GB HDD, or both. Other options include Blu-ray, Digital TV tuner, 802.11n Wi-Fi and a fingerprint scanner. The large capacity battery offers up to 17 hours of battery life while the small capacity battery offers up to 11 hours. (see all specs)
While the new Sony Vaio T transforms into a CULV notebook, the pricing is still Sony priced, with the cheapest configuration costing 129, 800 yen ($1,405).
