Pocketnow has discovered that Archos is seeking trademark protection in Europe for the term “Gbook” and suspects it may be a Google Chrome OS netbook due to the name and descriptions in trademark filing suggesting a device similar to their Windows CE based Arnova netbook. If not a Chrome OS netbook, then a new product lineup with that branding.
The company seems to be pretty successful with their PMPs and tablets but there netbook lineup doesn’t get much fanfare, which is understandable since they aren’t as good as their tablets. Let’s see how they fare with netbooks in 2011.
