Netbooks based on Intel Atom Pine Trail platform are expected to come onto the market in January, is positioning Averatec to get in line for some good old fashion Intel Atom N270 money. The new Averatec HS-105 touts all the new bells and whistles one would expect. But it is a more traditional netbook, which is reminiscent, at least at first glance from the design a little of Apple’s MacBook Pro series.
People who still does not have a netbook, will fing the Averatec HS-105 a perfect fit. Owners of current generation might even throw away their favorite to get their hands on this new netbook from Averatec. Especially at the price of the new model could be quite interesting, as we hear it is going to be coming in at a much lower price because of the new Pine Trail platform.
Averatec HS-105 has the popular Intel Atom N270 with the Intel 945GSE chipset. In addition, there are up to 2 GB of RAM and depending on the model, a 160 – or 250-gigabyte hard drive. The 10.1-inch screen has the usual 1024 x 600 pixels. There’s also a Chiclete keyboard, WLAN 802.11b/g/n, and after a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Suggest the different hard disk sizes that Averatec will offer both a version with Windows XP and Windows 7 starter.
Why they have dubbed it the Christmas edition is beyond us, probably just a ploy to get some extra attention around the holiday season…hmmm… seems to have worked
