Dell has today announced it is updating its line of Mini 10 Netbooks to include the new Intel N450 processor. As well as a bump in speed the new models will also get a minor facelift in the form of some textured palm-rest areas around the touchpad. Dell has also announced it is dropping support for multitouch gestures, which seems like something of a step backwards.
The new units will be available on January 5th in the US and Januray 7th worldwide for $299 and will ship with either Windows XP or Windows 7 Starter Edition (boo), with an Ubuntu Linux option appearing in February. As with many Dell products, you can customise your order to include any number of options including 3G, GPS, a TV tuner, or a higher resolution screen. The Mini 10 is also available in many different colours or designs from the Dell Design Studio.
