We’ve been a big fan of this 11.6-inch Windows 7 tablet right from the start. So its great news that ExoPC has just announced that it’s teamed up with Microsoft’s very own store to bring as its first point of sale in the US. Its up for sale for $699 as expected and comes with 64GB of flash storage, an Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium with ExoPC’s unique UI layer as well as a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera.

If you’ve been following along you’ll know that ExoPC has been issuing updates pretty much every week but we’ve heard that there is a major update coming next week and that tackles a number of issues we that were raised in the early review. The Slate is currently up for pre-order on the Microsoft Store website, but we’re told it will start shipping out early next week. If you wanted to get your hands on an actual model you’ll be able to see them in Microsofts store fronts and they are already on display in Scottsdale & San Diego.

In case you didn’t want to buy an ExoPC, here is a little tip. . .We’ll be starting a give a way for one in the next few days :D

Thanks ExoPC
