If I could plant a big wet one on Lenovo right now I would!!! I’m so sick and tired on Ventors pushing 14 and 15 inch notebooks on the market!! Lenovo has the consumer in mind rather then their pocket book since panel costs in December for 13.3″ LED panels were US$46-50 while 14″ and 15.6″ panels were US$39-44 & US$40-45.

They might be a little more expensive but it is a great screen size for your main computer and is actually mobile! Lenovo has caught on that the 13.3-inch is gaining popularity in the home market segment and is preferable in Asia Pacific, Lenovo’s most important market. While Lenovo is making what I consider to be a brilliant move companies like MSI continue to discontinue their 13.3 notebooks.

while its nice that 13″ machines tend to get full voltage CPU’s instead of ULV while maintaining similar battery life

the primary problem with 13″ machines is that they keep using a 1366×768 panel that is more ideal for 11″.

About time! Even 14″ is large & clunky for me. About time the vendors realised there are markets besides desktop replacements.

And I’m also fed up with “wide” panels; I call them “short” or “squashed”. Would much rather have 1280*1024 like my desktop at work, or even 1024*1024. Hey manufacturers! I don’t spend all my time watching movies!
