Linux will win at some point, open source always defeats commercial in the end. Like firefox v ie. Firefox, just takes a long time to beat the big corps.

You had my attention all the way up till you said that 2010 will be the year for Linux....... Then I was having a series of rapidfire flashbacks from all the times Ive heard X is the Year of Linux. I think we should stop predecting what year will be the year of linux , then when it happens we will all get a chuckle out of it.
John, all i am saying is that 2010 will be the year of Linux for netbooks. Linux on netbooks has a market-share of over 30% due to the strong asian markets. Next year we will see a huge growth because of Moblin, Jolicloud and Chrome OS.

30% of netbooks in Asian markets come with Linux but almost of them have been reinstall with Windows pirate copy. just let you know
UpLinq 2010 in San Diego June 30- July 1, 2010 was full of innovative products and devices. Netbook News was there to capture innovations around mHealth with the Dexcon Wireless Bandaid Offers 7 Days Glucose Monitoring and Bluetooth stethoscopes. Snapdragon tablets are the talk of the town but not at UpLinq, but we did get a hands on with the Snapdragon SDK on the MSM8655 handheld device. Another advancement that it was good to see was around Augmented Reality, Mattel has come out with a remake of the 1960s game Rockem’ Sockem’ whose effects are visually stunning.
