At the Google event the other day, Google announced that Acer and Samsung would have Chrome OS netbooks out in the first half of 2011. You can be sure that other manufacturers will be releasing their own Chrome OS netbooks too and Digitimes has word that HP has one in the works as well. All of these netbooks will be Intel based but we’re really waiting out for some kind of ARM based product announcement.
There’s also that 12.1-inch CR-48 codenamed notebook with Chrome OS but that’s for beta-testers in the US only to help iron out bugs and make the OS consumer friendly. (no USB support at the moment, for example). You can sign up to be a CR-48 pilot here.
