If you’ve ever watched Flash video on a standard Netbook you’ll know it can sometimes be a torturous process, especially with anything approaching HD content. Thankfully with it’s last update to 10.1, Flash now allows much of the load that was previously on the CPU to be taken up by the GPU, should you have one available. NetbookReviews have a before-and-after comparison of the difference this can make on a Lenovo Ideapad S12 with ION graphics. Streaming an HD show from Hulu is silky-smooth with the ION taking over from the small CPU, and they even manage to play a game of Crysis – something my desktop still struggles with.
