Back at the start of September, The Identity Tab 7-inch budget Android tablet was announced and released in Korea with word of a possible release in Europe and the US. It’s now been confirmed that it’s coming to Europe through Germany’s Media Markt. Last we heard it would roughly be about $250. The tablet has been selling in Korea for a while already and specs and looks are decent for a budget tablet except for one turn off – a resistive display.

The specs include a 7-inch 800 x 480 resistive touch display, 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor, Android 2.1, 8GB memory, mini HDMI, SD card reader, mini USB, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, accelerometer, digital TV tuner and a 3.0MP rear webcam. Weighs 425g. There are plans for Google certification for Marketplace access and plans to upgrade to Android 2.2.

There are several videos out on YouTube, here’s a couple below:

7″ screen, previous gen, single core processor?

The price should be $150, not $250.

Some cheapo chinese tablets may perform as well as this.

    What is the point?
