At a conference full of the world’s top tech influencers its always fun to see two big names talk to the same person. Mike Arrington of TechCrunch interviewed You Tube’s Chris Hurley at Le Web ‘09 while Scoble filmed from the sidelines. It’s fun to see Scoble challenge Arrington to a race to upload on YouTube, in the end Scoble did wait a day to get the interview posted. But we like this version better then the TechCrunch Version, its capture’s the spirit of Le Web ‘09, competitive collaboration!
UpLinq 2010 in San Diego June 30- July 1, 2010 was full of innovative products and devices. Netbook News was there to capture innovations around mHealth with the Dexcon Wireless Bandaid Offers 7 Days Glucose Monitoring and Bluetooth stethoscopes. Snapdragon tablets are the talk of the town but not at UpLinq, but we did get a hands on with the Snapdragon SDK on the MSM8655 handheld device. Another advancement that it was good to see was around Augmented Reality, Mattel has come out with a remake of the 1960s game Rockem’ Sockem’ whose effects are visually stunning.
