Notion Ink’s latest blog post goes over a lot of little things on their Adam tablet but two things stand out – a teaser video promo ending with the words “coming soon – to a store near you” and a look at the matte scratch resistant screen they’re using with the Adam (not the one shown here!).
That promo video doesn’t actually show the tablet at all yet but it’s exciting to see those combination of words. Pricing is mentioned again in a linked article and it hasn’t changed from the original August announcement ($399 – $498) although they are “working on reducing it further down”. Then there’s the matte surface they’re going to have on the Adam showing off how they’ve finally got a surface that’s quite scratch resistant and doesn’t exhibit some issues seen with other matte displays – in particular, small green fringes and speckles.
A few other tidbits – The company has also started a forum over at Notionaddicts.com and the tablet won’t ship with Android 3.0 (understandably since the company plans to launch the tablet at the end of next month)
