Living in Taiwan we at Netbook News are always excited to hear about geographically exclusive technology, so when we saw Peter from Netbooked reviewed the ASUS 1005HR we just had to share!! I mean there aren’t very many netbooks with a 1366 x 768 display. So below the video you will find Peter’s pro’s and con’s for the unit and here is his video review.
Pros
+1366 x 768 resolution
+Very bright display
+Excellent keyboard
+Very quiet
+Flush 6-cell battery (pretty much)
+Responsive two fingered scrolling
+7 hour battery life
+Ubuntu Linux works 100% out of the box
Cons
-Slightly slower than your average netbook (due to display rez)
-May cause eye strain (unless you adjust Windows)
-No access to HDD, Wi-Fi
-Fingerprint magnet (esp. black model)
-Can’t handle HD YouTube
-Can’t handle 1080p / 720p* video
-Windows 7 Starter limitations (eg. extending dekstop to 2nd display is disabled)
