Huawei’s S7 7-inch Android tablet may have been a winner when it showed up well before the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Dell Streak, ViewSonic Viewpad 7 and others but now it’s just another 7-incher and one with a resistive screen which probably won’t appeal to the average user. We haven’t seen it get officially released in most places but it may pop up in the US at some point since it just appeared at the FCC the other day.
Here are the specs as listed on Expansys.co.uk (where it’s still in preorder mode) – a 7″ 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen display, 256MB RAM, Qualcomm SnapDragon Cortex-A8 768MHz processor, 2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Android 2.1 (will be upgraded to 2.1). There are two models up one priced at 299 pounds, the other 350 pounds. YesAsia expects to ship it this week at $435. Negri Electronics has it for a low $359 and Popular Electronics for $450.
To refresh your memory, here was our hands on way back at the start of this year:
