ExoPC is scheduled to ship its Slate/Tablet PC on October 15th to its Forum members for those who placed pre-orders. However, according to company founder Jean-Baptiste Martinoli, they have decided to delay the shipment of certain models because many early demo units were having serious touch-screen issues. Although they will ship a maximum of one hundred units with 32GB SSD on the October 15th date. If that works out the company is slated to ship 400 of the 32/64GB models through the first week of November, and then to completely catch up with shipments by mid-November. If you happened to pre-order one of these, you will receive a free Stylus and stand in compensation for delayed shipments.

“…early demo units were having serious touch-screen issues”

This is not accurate. There are no issues with the touch screens themselves–there is a manufacturing assembly problem with a machine used to mount the screen into the ExoPC case. This machine is cracking some of the screens when it is running full production speed.
