Yesterday we heard that Gigabyte had renamed their 11.6-inch tablet convertible M1125 to the (Booktop) T1125 a while back and that they were planning to make it available in Taiwan.. from today, or yesterday depending on where you are in the world. While we had a look at it back at Computex 2010 we didn’t know all the specs but today it appears to have been launched over in Taiwan with pictures, specs and pricing announced.

There will be two models. The first model, known as the T1125M, has a Core i3-380UM processor with Gigabyte’s custom “Smart Turbo” function to boost speed up to 1.77GHz, Intel HD graphics and a 320GB HDD.

The high end T1125N model has a Core i5-470UM processor (Turbo Boost built-in up to 1.86GHz), GeForce 310M graphics with Nvidia Optimus for saving on battery life, 500GB HDD and 3G.

Both models share 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 and combo eSATA / USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Gigabit LAN, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, audio jacks, card reader, a 1.3MP webcam, 2GB RAM, Windows 7 and a 6-cell battery. Weight comes in at 1.73kg.

There’s the dock too – with vertical slots for the notebook itself and one for an external burner, connected via micro SATA – looks like that’ll be a custom made burner and a stand that can rotate up to 90 degrees. On the back there’s 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, audio jacks, HDMI and VGA ports.

Sounds good! Especially that Core i5 model with dedicated graphics but what about the price? The low end model has a list price of $1,110 in Taiwan and $1,269 for the higher end T1125N, without 3G or $1,365 with 3G.
