In an analyst meeting today it appears that Todd Brady an EVP at HP has let the cat out of the bag naming HP’s upcoming WebOS tablet the PalmPad. This only confirms a rumor that’s been going around ever since HP filed for a trademark on PalmPad back in July. The guys over at PreCentral have a quote from the analyst meeting this afternoon where he let the name slip:
We’ve already announced the expansion of our future product portfolio well beyond smartphones. We’ll have a webOS-powered PalmPad that will be set for release early in 2011.
I’m hoping “early 2011″ means CES, but if not then it better be Mobile World Congress anything later ain’t early!!
