At the start of this year Netbook Navigator launched the Nav9 – a 9-inch Windows 7 tablet which was quite costly (price has dropped) with prices starting at $799 and going over $1,000 once you added in 3G and whatnot. It packs in older netbook specs – an Intel Atom N280 processor, 16 – 64GB 1.8″ SSD, 1 – 2GB DDR2 RAM, n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and Windows 7. It’s been available to order as far back as when it launched as well but we haven’t heard much about the tablet since. Today CrunchGear has gotten up a review on the tablet.

They favoured the availability of ports and expandability, a silent fan and the bright, sharp display and responsive resistive touchscreen but weren’t too fond of poor viewing angles and the Window’s 7 touch experience. With the price dropped to $599 and an additional 10% OFF coupon from CrunchGear, it seems like a decent Windows tablet offering especially when there’s a lack of 9-inch tablets on the market.

They’ve also got a 7-inch Nav 7 Windows tablet in the works based on the Menlow platform with an Atom Z530 processor but it’s been stuck in “coming soon” mode for ages.
