Google’s already gone official on the matter – Android 2.2 Froyo isn’t optimized for tablets and not all apps will run, yet, we’re going to see a ton of tablets hit the scene later this year or next even the OS on board. The main issue here is that the maximum resolution supported is 800 x 480 while most of these tablets will come with a 1024 x 600 resolution.

The Samsung’s Galaxy Tab which Samsung claimed all apps from the marketplace would run without issue. Samsung actually backtracking on that claim and admits that not all apps from the marketplace will run properly on their Galaxy Tab because of this resolution issue. Such apps won’t scale properly to fit the native 1024 x 600 resolution.

With this understanding it is particularly interesting to see what Samsung shows us apps wise in the following most detailed video that they have released yet. They have release a detailed hands on running 9 minutes and what we notice most is the email client, it looks very similar to hotmail and gmail with the star system that appears in both. Regardless we are excited to see elements of Google applications running in this video.

If you can’t get enough of the Galaxy Tab this is the video for you!
